In September, Adriano Mones de Fé, Luis González Revert, Jesús González Revert and Isidoro Pereda Díez established Temper’s first office in the center of Oviedo.
Since its beginning, they have instilled a series of values, including principles such as trusting in people, an orientation towards customer service and product and process innovation, that have continued to be the company’s keystones as it grows.

The headquarters were moved to Granda Industrial Park in Asturias and the area was expanded to 100 m2 of office space and a 600 m2 warehouse.

Two new companies were created: Coati and Temper Clima.
The Group’s growth made the acquisition of two new warehouses in the Granda Industrial Park possible, expanding the area to more than 4,000 m2.

Grupo Temper was awarded the Quality Management Certification according to ISO 9001 Regulations by the Spanish Association for Regulations and Certifications (Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación - AENOR).

Official creation of Grupo Temper. Temper Phoenix Ibérica and Phoenix Contact joined the Group’s existing companies, the latter as a Joint Venture with the German multi-national company of the same name. The Group’s internationalization took its first step with the creation of Temper Portugal.

Establishment of a sales office – management center – in Hong Kong.

 
2001
Crady, an electrical materials factory, was incorporated into the Group.
The EU Green Papers were incorporated into the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Creation of the joint company OBO Bettermann with the German multi-national company of the same name. The consortium Elexco was created for exportation to Central America. The new headquarters of Phoenix Contact were inaugurated in the Asturias Technological Park, with an area of over 2,800 m2.
Award for Business Innovation.
Awarding of the Research and Development and Technological Innovation Management System Certification according to AENOR’s UNE 160.002 Ex Regulation, making it the first firm in Asturias and in the national electrical sector to receive such acknowledgment.

 
2004
The Group created its head sales office in Poland.

Creation of the company Herzio.
A new assembly and logistics plant was inaugurated in Asturias Technological Park and more than 8 million euros were invested in the development of a 10,000 m2 area.

Awarding of the EUREKA Certification for a European technological cooperation project.

Creation of the company Temper Polonia.
A new production plant was inaugurated in Porceyo Industrial Park in Asturias, with more than 12 million euros invested in the development of a 9,000 m2 area.
Awarding of the CHINEKA Certification and EUREKA Certification for two bilateral projects of international technological cooperation.

 
2007
Creation of the companies Temper Hong Kong and Temper China.
The new Technological Center of Grupo Temper (GETLAB) was inaugurated.
Business Award for Work Placement for People with Disabilities (COCEMFE-Asturias).

The new Grupo Temper facilities in Haian (China) began its operation, with an area of 10,000 m2.
The company Phoenix Contact of Grupo Temper was selected as one of the 50 best Spanish companies to work for, according to the “Great Place to Work” Institute.
Impulso Award in Industrial Design.
Acknowledgment from the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) to the Grupo Temper for its work on different International Bilateral Technology Cooperation Programs.
